Tandem Nomads Accountability Groups
Welcome to the Tandem Nomads community!
Here are some tips to helps you make the best of this experience:
- Starting your accountability group:
- I know that summer holidays are coming up for most of you. I suggest to still organize a first call as soon as possible to get to know each other and define a plan. Here is an online tool that can be very helpful to agree on a date: https://doodle.com
- It would be ideal if one of you spontaneously takes the initiative to reach out to the group and suggests some time slots. Otherwise, you can use the alphabetical order rule with first names for instance.
- Running the calls:
- You can use Skype or Zoom to run your calls, this are great tools to share screens etc.
- During your first call, define a timeline and a format for your calls. Example: commit for 3 months weekly calls every Thursdays, starting from 1stweek of September (during the summer you can still keep the moment with calls just once a month).
- During each call, one person should be in charge of keeping up with the time to make sure that everyone has equal time to get feedback and ask questions.
- You can also complement the accountability group and set up a one-to-one accountability partnership.
- Use Tandem Nomads Facebook group to ask questions and share your progress.
- If there is enough demand, I am happy to set up a live Q&A in the group (for example each first Monday of the month), what do you think? Please email me to let me know if you are interested!
- Remember: Consistency is KEY! If you are serious about committing to your goals and supporting each other, you need to show up on a consistent base.
- Ending the accountability group:
- To make sure that expectations are met, make sure to set clear ground rules.
- Define a “trial period” and a “checking-in” in between where you make sure that it is working for all members.
- If you need to leave earlier, make sure to communicate it in a sensitive manner. Please do not just disappear 😉
